Louis A. Cook of George West, Texas peacefully went to be with the Lord at the age of 67 on February 21, 2023.
Louis was born November 6, 1955 to Albert and Evelyn (Castleberry) Cook. He was raised in George West, Texas before spending many years in San Marcos, Texas building custom homes with his wife, Christine. Louis was not only a custom home builder, but truly a master of all trades. At times he was a welder, a carpenter, a plumber, an electrician, a wood worker, and often a mentor, eager to pass down his knowledge to many, including longtime friends, family members and sometimes just acquaintances.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed often in his retirement. He also enjoyed traveling, gambling, spending time in Colorado, and helping others. Above all, he was a child of God and loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Jalufka) Cook; and his parents, Albert and Evelyn (Castleberry) Cook.
He is survived by his daughters, Martha Cook Hardesty and husband Michael of Montgomery, Texas and Laura Cook Klingman and husband Jamie of Wimberley, Texas; stepdaughter, Sandra Frederick of San Antonio, Texas; stepson, Benjamin Frederick of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Weldon Cook and wife Evelyn of George West, Texas and Robert Cook and wife LaDonna of Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren, Brendon Wade, Kade Hardesty, Ryder Hardesty, Jena Klingman and Alex Klingman; and one niece and three nephews.
