William Seth Hartman, 76, of Skidmore, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Hartman was born May 6, 1942, in Hearne, Texas to Rudolph Hartman and Louise Oliver Hartman. He married Patricia Congdon Wilkinson on April 1, 1983. He retired from the PFE Railroad and Sherwin Aluminum and worked part time as a hot shot driver in the oilfield industry. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Skidmore, serving as the head deacon for many years. He was also a member of the Skidmore Volunteer Fire Department EMS, Texas Baptist Men's Disaster Relief, a board member of the Skidmore Water Supply and the Skidmore Museum.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hartman of Skidmore; a daughter, Cheryl (James) Bennett of Skidmore; a son, Lee (Brenda) Wilkinson of Beeville; grandchildren, Jared Wilkinson, Caitlin Wilkinson, Alyssa Bennett and Alyson Bennett; three great-grandchildren, Clayton Wilkinson, Chloe Wilkinson and Alena White; and a sister, Ann Harris of Houston.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Skidmore with Rev. Lee Bevly officiating. Organist will be Cyndi Bevly.
There will be a private burial for immediate family following the services.
Pallbearers will be James Bennett, Billy Beyer, Bill Carriger, Will Carriger, Raymond Gilstrap, Mitch Hale, Jared Wilkinson and Lee Wilkinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church, Skidmore.
