Bill married the love of his life, Lucy Lynn Hale, on March 21, 1981, in Deer Park, Texas. He lived a life marked by dedication and hard work. Over his lifetime, he worked as an electrician, instrument tech, and analyzer technician working in refineries and chemical plants. His career spanned more than 50 years, finally retiring at the age of 79. William was a man of many talents such as carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. He loved working with his hands.
William found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved his family and his friends. He considered it an honor to be called Taylor and Leland Grunden's “Opa” whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed music, fishing, and riding on his tractor at the farm, a place he loved.
