Wayne Douglas Smith, 63, of Skidmore, Texas, passed away August 19, 2026.

He was born on November 4, 1962, to Howard Dean Smith and Beula Emily Smith in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. He married Michelle Kay Smith on June 20, 1995 in Skidmore, Texas.

Wayne was a devoted family man and a faithful Christian who loved the lord and cherished his family. He took great pride in his collection of sports cards, a hobby he truly enjoyed and treasured over the years. He was also a hardworking and determined man who took pride in everything he did. As the owner of Surly Goodness, he poured his time and effort into his business, while also working as a Domino’s driver. His strong work ethic, dedication, and willingness to always keep busy were qualities that those who knew him admired and respected.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Crichton.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Kay Smith; his daughter, Tiffany; and his son, Skyler.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville.
