Vera Williamson

Vera Lee (Weeks) Williamson, 94, of Mathis, formerly of Robstown, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. Mrs. Williamson was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Newton County to Janie Elizabeth (Miller) and Ed Vinton Weeks. She married Harold Williamson in 1938, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Beeville. She retired from Motorola in Seguin and had also worked for H-E-B. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Olivia O'Conner and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Durham of Edna and Belinda Bickham of Mathis; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service will be conducted there at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Don Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Seago, Justin Lambert, Jon Lambert, Chad Georgie and Colt Lambert. Honorary pallbearer will be Weston Bickham.
