Sue Ann (Gehrke) Tollackson

Sue Ann (Gehrke) Tollackson, born on October 19, 1958, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away May 6, 2025. She departed this world surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home in Three Rivers, Texas at the age of 66.

Sue was a proud graduate of Denmark High School in Denmark, WI. On August 9, 1985, she celebrated one of her proudest moments when she married Richard Dale Tollackson in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Their union blossomed into a warm and nurturing household where love thrived. She was a devout member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Three Rivers. She was employed at Walmart in Pleasanton, Texas for 15 years and most recently a contractor at 4M at the Valero Refinery in Three Rivers. She enjoyed cooking and baking with her grandchildren as well as going on vacation to visit family and friends in Wisconsin and going on cruises.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joyce Ann (Johnson) Gehrke and Marvin William Gehrke; her brother, Bruce Gehrke; and her grandparents, Walter and Lulu Johnson and Albert and Valena Gehrke.

Sue leaves behind her husband of almost 40 years, Richard Tollackson; and their two sons, Thomas Tollackson and John (Jaclyn) Tollackson, alongside her cherished daughter, Tina Tollackson. Sue also embraced her role as a stepmother to Eric Tollackson and Dawn (Jen) Kinson. In her life, she found immense joy in her grandchildren: Weston, Levi, Henry, Lila, Michael and Ryker Tollackson, as well as Joshua and Ezra Kinson.

Sue was part of a large and loving family, including her brothers Lane (Jeannie) Gehrke, Leon (Carol) Gehrke and Jay (Rosa) Gehrke; her sisters, Dawn (Bob) Chervenka, Kris (John) Hulbert, Brenda (Ron) Jacobs and Mary (Mark) Hansen; as well as her sisters-in-law, Loretta Rood and Victoria Yttri; and brothers-in-law, Alan Tollackson and Robert (Jan) Tollackson.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, Texas.
