Shirley Shannon

Shirley Ann Shannon, 79, of Tuleta, died Friday, May 26, 2017. Mrs. Shannon was born July 23, 1937, in Beeville to Mildred (Ingram) and Carl Malone. She married Jerry Royce Shannon in Beeville on Dec. 3, 1960. She worked in healthcare (billing) and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 28, 2012. Survivors include a son, Royce (Linda) Shannon of Tuleta; two daughters, Kimberly Hamilton of Tuleta and Lezley (Dwayne) Bearden of Kerrville; a brother, Jim Malone of California; a sister, Carol Henderson of California; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Tuleta Community Center.
