Russell L. Holloway, 72, passed away peacefully in his home in George West, Texas on December 28, 2025.
Russell was born on July 21, 1953, in Mercedes, Texas, the son of Russell Dale Holloway and Audrie (Cumbie) Holloway. He graduated from Harlingen High School in 1972. He married Susan Roesch on March 18, 2013, in George West, Texas. They were happily married for 12 years. Russell worked as a professional stagehand with multiple different companies throughout most of his adult life. He sincerely enjoyed working around the music and entertainment industry. He was also an avid motorcycle rider. His favorite activity was going on morning rides with his wife and his friends. Russell was a loving father and friend to many.
Preceding Russell in death was his father, Russell Dale Holloway.
Remaining to cherish Russell’s memory are spouse Susan Holloway; children, Lee Holloway, Scott Eryou, Gerilee Holloway, Millie Bedard, James Holloway-Andreatos, Mark Andreatos and Audrie Michelle Andreatos; grandchildren, Elvis Eryou, Kennedy Puente, James Costa Andreatos, Cannon Griffin Andreatos, Georgia Marie Andreatos, Wiley Buck Bedard and Barron Boaz Bedard; his mother, Audrie Holloway; brothers, Dicky Holloway and Dennis Holloway; nieces, Laura Rapstine, Jennifer Holloway, Jamie Alexander and Kellie Workman; as well as many friends.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West followed by the funeral service at 1 o’clock. Timothy Goins will officiate.
Russell will be laid to rest in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Elder, Kevin Mattison, Nuno Perez, Lee Holloway, Howard Smith and Lonnie Jordan.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lane McClelland, Hunter Powell and John Rapstine.
