Ross Huegler, Jr.

Ross Clayton Huegler Jr. 68, formerly of Beeville, died Friday, July 15, 2011. Mr. Huegler was born Aug. 2, 1942, in Beeville, to Verna Dean Cannedy and Ross Clayton Huegler Sr. He attended Texas A&I University for two years and was a retired electrician for TDCJ. Survivors include two daughters, Sloan (Glenn) Simmons of Kingwood and Courtney (Carlos) Garcia of Allen; four grandchildren, Alicia and Ana Garcia, and Alexandra and Brant Simmons; and three brothers Larry Huegler of Peralta N.M., C.E. Huegler of Clinton, La., and Jack Compton of Laredo. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at Galloway & Sons chapel. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 o'clock Aug. 2, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with Rev. Clayton Elder officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
