Roberto H. Basquez

Roberto H. Basquez, of Beeville, Texas, passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on October 8, 1954, in George West, Texas.

Roberto will be remembered for the simple things that brought him comfort and peace. He enjoyed listening to music and reading scripture from the Bible. These steady interests were a meaningful part of his life and reflected a quiet spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anacleto Basquez, and his mother, Eva Basquez. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Angelita Niabes and Amelia Carabajal.

Roberto is survived by his sisters, Miquela Valadez, Maggie Martinez, Joventina Guerrero, Ofelia Corrales, and Maria Luisa Carrasco, as well as his brothers, Jesus Basquez and Leonardo Basquez. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West.

The funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the George West Church of Christ with Pastor Fernando Corrales officiating. Burial will follow at the George West Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Martinez, Arnulfo Guerrero, Adolfo Guerrero, Bert Ruiz, Luke Saenz, and Adolfo Perez.
