Robert “Bob” Leon Davis, 82, of Beeville, Texas, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on February 5, 2024.
Bob was born July 22, 1941, in Beeville to William Clifford Davis Sr. and Willie Zoe (Ballard) Davis. He was a 1959 graduate of A.C. Jones High School. He dedicated more than three decades serving as office manager with H.B. Zachry Co. in San Antonio until his retirement in January 2004. As a devoted member of First Baptist Church, he enjoyed reading daily Bible verses. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and was an avid airplane and classic car enthusiast. He loved life and having fun. He loved sweets and seeing new places. While employed by H.B. Zachry, he lived all over the world and the United States.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Zoe and William Clifford Davis Sr.; and his brother, William Clifford “Bill” Davis, Jr.; and his beloved wife, Gracie Hamilton Davis.
Left behind to cherish fond memories include his two sons, Robert “Rob” Leon (Ines) Davis Jr. of San Antonio and Shelton Wilburn of Beeville; two sisters, Alice Elizabeth Blanchard and Kay (Jim) Stinson, both of Beeville; seven grandchildren, Craig, Clint, Chris, Nicole, Vanessa, Brandon and Alexis; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Greg Traylor will officiate.
Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Davis, Cliff Davis, Craig Davis, Chris Davis, Brandon Wilburn and Gary Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
