Ray Mccroskey

Ray Welborn McCroskey, 75, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013. Mr. McCroskey was born April 5, 1938, in Spencer, W.V., to Okey Madison and Ocie (Connley) McCroskey. He served in the U.S. Army, including active duty in Korea, followed by service in the U.S. Air Force. He married Mary McCroskey in Covington, Ky., in 1974, and worked for the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons, retiring after 22 years. He was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Okey McCroskey; and two sisters, Annabelle and Elsa McCroskey. Survivors include his wife, Mary McCroskey; children, Julie (Brad)Burnham of Round Rock, Terri (John) Pyne of West Virginia and Bobbi Serreno of California; grandchildren, Ray Burnham, Amy Burnham, Lissa Pyne, Madison Pyne, Jacob Pyne, Rebekah Serreno and Keith Serreno; two great-grandchildren; and nephews, John McCroskey and Jeff McCroskey. Visitation was private and no services are scheduled.
