Paul Phillip Gothard

Paul Phillip Gothard, 70, sadly passed away at his ranch in Beeville, Texas, on Monday, February 19, 2024.

Paul was born February 19, 1954, in Long Beach, California, to Paul Wesley Gothard and LaVeta (Heydon) Gothard. He was a skilled handyman and repairman but his passion was painting and writing children’s books.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and LaVeta Gothard; and a granddaughter, Katrina Sellens.

Survivors include a daughter, Maria (Ivan) Bautista; four grandchildren, Emma Kingston, Wesley Jacobs, Aaron Jacobs and Ruben Sellens; two half-sisters, Darlene Keen and Charlene Keen; cousins, Eugene “Rick” and Theresa Ricketts; as well as a few other cousins; and his best friend and loyal companion, his dog, “Cowboy.”

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, at Beeville Memorial Park.
