Oralia Gonzales

Oralia (Cruz) Gonzales, 86, of Nell, Texas peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Oralia was born in Pawnee, Texas to Hilario and Rafela Cruz on March 30, 1936. She married the love of her life Guadalupe Gonzales on February 28, 1954, and they spent 69 years together. Oralia was a devoted Catholic always standing strong in her faith and teaching her children and grandchildren that God and family always come first. She spent her days as a housewife raising 6 children and helping her husband on  “The Ranchito”. She loved crafting, traveling to the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan, and shopping.  Family time was very important to Oralia all holidays were spent together at “The Ranchito” as a family cooking, laughing, and rejoicing.

Oralia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guadalupe Gonzales Sr.; a daughter, San Juanita Sepeda; a son, Guadalupe Gonzales Jr.; a brother, Hilario Cruz Jr.; and four sisters, Yolanda Cruz, Consuelo Valadez, Eloise Muniz, and Petra Garza.

Left behind to cherish her memory are three daughters, Rosa Morin, Celia (Rudy) Garcia, Teresa (Raymond) Rios; a son, Henry (Debbie) Gonzales; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Gonzales; ten grandchildren, Rachal (Zoe) Baldillez Zamora, Jo Anna Baldillez, Eric (Kim) Morin, Katherine Morin, Ana Ramirez, Adriana Gonzales, Guadalupe “LJ” Gonzales III, Rudy (Martha) Garcia Jr., Patricia Garcia, Raymond (Paige) Rios; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission in Pawnee with Father Ryszard Zielinski officiating.

Interment will follow at Nell Cemetery in Pawnee.

Pallbearers will be Guadalupe “LJ” Gonzales III, Rudy Garcia Jr., Raymond Rios Jr., Eric Morin, Rudy Garcia Sr., and Raymond Rios Sr.
