Nancy Helen Irwin Howlett, 77, of Port Lavaca, TX, formally of Beeville, TX, passed away at home on February 2, 2012. Nancy was born April 23, 1934, in North Texas. She married Robert Keith Howlett in 1951. They started a home in Victoria, TX, and had two sons, Kendall Kirk Howlett and Robert Bruce Howlett. They later moved to Beeville, TX, where they raised their family. Nancy and Keith moved to Port Lavaca in 1982, and were owners of White's Bar B Que and Kwik Way. Nancy raised her two grandchildren ,Krystal Howlett Stringham and Kendall Kriagg Howlett. She retired from White's Bar B Que a few years ago and has been enjoying her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Keith Howlett. She is survived by her two sons, Kendall Kirk Howlett and wife Ginger, and Robert Bruce Howlett and wife Tammy; granddaughters, Krystal Stringham and husband Butch, Melanie Kay McCulloch, and Tommie Howlett; grandson, Kendall Kraigg Howlett. There were also eight great grandchildren, Kaleb, Matthew, Levi, Jax, and Kirk Stringham. Gavin, Devin, and Blake Howlett. Graveside service was held on Friday, February 3, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Beeville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of South Texas.
