Maria Rebugio

Maria Rebugio, 94, of Beeville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.
Mrs. Rebugio was born in the Philippines on March 27, 1924, to Gavino Tabangcura and Lucena Rebugio. She married Vicente Rebugio Sr. in the Philippines and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beeville. She was a cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sons, Reynaldo Rebugio and Bienvenido Rebugio.
Survivors include two daughters, Mervita Balangue of Victoria and Vilma (Hardie) Rutab of Beeville; two sons, Efren (Cora) Rebugio of Austin and Vicente (Jean) Rebugio Jr. of San Antonio; a sister, Myrna Bartolome of Canada; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel in Beeville. The rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Balangue Jr., Adonis Rebugio, Efren Rebugio Jr., Aries Rebugio, Hardie Rutab and Mark Rutab.
