Lydia Ladesma

Lydia Llorens (Buena) Ladesma, 75, of Beeville, died Monday, May 1, 2017. Mrs. Ladesma was born Aug. 4, 1941, in Baao, Carmarines Sur, The Philippines, to Petra (Llorens) and Melanio S. Buena. She married Abraham Ladesma in The Philippines on May 5, 1963. She was a teacher, a Catholic, a cook and was active in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Perfecto Buena and Angel Buena; sisters, Herminia Buena and Remedios Malazarte; and brothers-in-law, Pastor Barramedo and Sofronio Magistrado. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemarie Ladesma of Austin; sisters, Elizabeth (David) Barandon of California, Marietta Barrameda of Houston and Purification Magistrado of The Philippines; brother, Romulo (Linda) Buena of The Philippines; sisters-in-law, Gloria Buena and Alicia Buena; and brother-in-law, Jorge Malazarte. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 6, at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
