Louis Dickinson, Jr.

Louis Lamonte "Monte" Dickinson Jr., 75, of Beeville, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019.

Monte was born May 26, 1943, in Elgin, Oklahoma, to Avis (May) Dickinson and Louis L. Dickinson Sr. He married Doris Pauline Scott in George West, Texas, on December 22, 1981. He was a member of the Methodist church. He retired from Civil Service at NAS Chase Field after 24 years and again from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Avis and Louis L. Dickinson Sr.; and two brothers, Hershall and Tommy Dickinson.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Pauline Dickinson of Beeville; two sons, Louis Dickinson III of Skidmore and Stephen Wayne Dickinson of Victoria; three stepsons, Wesley Hilliard (Cindy) of Beeville, Mark Hilliard (Jill) of Corpus Christi and Bruce Bolin (Linda) of Swinney Switch; seven grandchildren, Harley Dickinson Miller, Zachary Dickinson, Justin Hilliard, Mary Hilliard, Amy Wolston Wiley, Carey Hilliard and Paige Hilliard Leiker; and eight great-grandchildren, Harper Miller, Charles Miller, Adalyn Miller, Abigail Wiley, Dylan Wiley, Noel Hilliard, Hunter Leiker and Maci Grace Leiker.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville with Rev. Gary Conklin officiating.

Burial will be private.
