Loreto Lugo, 75, was born on January 26, 1948, in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico to Enrique Lugo and Maria Reyes Casas. He passed away in his home in Beeville, Texas, on September 16, 2023, after many months of fiercely battling stage IV lung cancer. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and children.

Loreto moved to the U.S. in 1979 with his wife, Irma Guerra, and their children. They settled in Beeville where he worked most of his career, decades, managing the Seger Ranch. He enjoyed a simple life and was happiest among friends and family coupled with good food, drinks, and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique Lugo and Maria Reyes Casas; a son, Arnulfo Lugo; and one sister, Alicia Lugo.

Survivors include his dear wife of 50 years, Irma Guerra; his children, Fernando Lugo, Maria Azucena Alvarez (Alfredo), Emilio Lugo, Gabriela Lugo, Omero Lugo (Ashley) and Patricia Trevino (Jacob); and his grandchildren, Nathaniel Alvarez, Jazmine Orocio Lugo, Jacob Yglesias Jr., John Alvarez, Noemi Orocio Lugo, Marcelo Lopez, Marissa Alvarez, Chance Trevino, Jaxon Trevino, and Harlan Trevino.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 22, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Fernando Lugo, Emilio Lugo, Omero Lugo, Miguel Guerra, Jacob Trevino and Alfredo Alvarez.

 

 

 

Loreto Lugo, de 75 años, nació el 26 de enero de 1948 en Dolores Hidalgo, México, hijo de Enrique Lugo y María Reyes Casas. Falleció en su casa en Beeville, Texas, el 16 de septiembre de 2023, después de muchos meses de luchar ferozmente contra el cáncer de pulmón en etapa IV. Estaba rodeado amorosamente por su esposa y sus hijos.

Loreto se mudó a los Estados Unidos en 1979 con su esposa, Irma Guerra, y sus hijos. Se establecieron en Beeville, donde trabajó la mayor parte de su carrera, décadas, administrando el Rancho Seger. Disfrutaba de una vida sencilla y era más feliz entre amigos y familiares, junto con buena comida, bebidas y baile.

Le sobreviven su querida esposa durante 50 años, Irma Guerra; sus hijos, Fernando Lugo, María Azucena Álvarez (Alfredo), Emilio Lugo, Gabriela Lugo, Omero Lugo (Ashley) y Patricia Treviño (Jacob); y sus nietos, Nathaniel Alvarez, Jazmine Orocio Lugo, Jacob Yglesias Jr., John Alvarez, Noemi Orocio Lugo, Marcelo Lopez, Marissa Alvarez, Chance Trevino, Jaxon Trevino y Harlan Trevino.

El velorio se llevará a cabo desde las 6 hasta las 7 de la tarden el Viernes 22 de septiembre en Galloway & Sons Funeral Home en Beeville con un Rosario que se recitará a las 7 en punto.

La misa funeral se celebrará a las 10 de la mañana el sábado 23 de septiembre en la iglesia católica St. Joseph. Seguirá el entierro en Beeville Memorial Park.

Los portadores del féretro serán Fernando Lugo, Emilio Lugo, Omero Lugo, Miguel Guerra, Jacob Treviño y Alfredo Álvarez.
