Linda Sueann Paradis, 78, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026.
Linda was born on February 4, 1948, in Preston County, West Virginia, to Charles L. and Thelma Mersing. She married Louis J. Paradis on April 30, 1983. Linda made her home in Preston County before moving to California and later settling in Beeville, Texas.
Linda’s greatest joy was her faith. She was a faithful member of Valley Point Apostolic Church, where she loved serving God and her church family. She was always willing to help others and lived her life as a true servant in the Kingdom.
When Linda made Beeville, Texas, her home, her faith remained just as strong. She became a devoted member of Christ Temple Church, where she continued to worship, serve, and build lasting friendships. Wherever she lived, Linda's love for God and her dedication to her church family were an important part of who she was.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Paradis; her parents, Charles L. and Thelma Mersing; her brother, Roger Mersing; and her sisters, Mary Ann May Mersing and Carolyn Mersing.
Survivors include her niece and goddaughter, Amanda Sypolt; her niece, Debrah Chaudhur; her nephew, Scott Mersing; her grandchildren, Steven W. Sypolt and Taylor E. Sypolt, along with step-granddaughters, Casey and Christiana Paradis; her sister-in-law, Sharon Mersing; and a very close cousin, Kathy Kelley, who was like a little sister to her.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Valley Point Apostolic Church in Albright, West Virginia. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Jay Kelley officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Valley Point, West Virginia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Sypolt, Steven W. Sypolt, Cody Nice, Craig Wagner, Joe Dagenais and Greg Bolyard.
Services will be in care of Kingwood Funeral Home.
