Leopoldo Rodriguez

Leopoldo "Leo" G. Rodriguez, 75, of George West, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016. Mr. Rodriguez was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Jimenez Tampaulipas, Mexico, to Leopoldo Rodriguez and Lucilla (Garza) Rodriguez. He married Bobbie Washington and was an oil rig mechanic and member of the Baptist and Catholic church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Rodriguez; two daughters, Berta (Anthony) Elias and Leticia (Jason) Stanke; step-children, Candy Coe and Darryl (Leslie) Coe; a sister, Lucilla (Genaro) Pena; seven grandchildren, Benjamin del Pozo Jr., Adam del Pozo, Melissa Coronado, Paloma Coronado, Ricardo Coronado, Brandi Allinese and Terrell Jones; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at First Baptist Church in George West. The funeral service was conducted there that morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Bruce Irving officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at South Park Cemetery in Pearland. Pallbearers will be Jason Stanke, Tony Elias, Darryl Coe and Thomas Jones.
