Lee Ann (McWhorter) Stubbins

Lee Ann (McWhorter) Stubbins, longtime Beeville resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, holding the hands of her loving daughters. Lee Ann was born on October 20, 1934, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to C. Bernard McWhorter and Ernez (Skaggs) McWhorter.

Lee Ann had a keen interest in genealogy, art, and was an avid reader. She loved decorating her home and was a featured home on multiple Christmas Home Tours.

Lee Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, William R. Stubbins; two sons, William R. Stubbins, Jr., and Chris J. Stubbins; and her three siblings, Mary Gay Allen, C. B. “Pat” McWhorter, and A. F. “Mike” McWhorter.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Stubbins Young and Laura Stubbins, her grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Per her wishes, no visitation or funeral services will follow.
