Juanita Elinda (Ybanez) Corralez, 71, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi.
Juanita was born March 21, 1952, in Three Rivers to Rafael Ybanez and Josepha B. Reyna. She was a beloved school bus driver and dedicated 26 years transporting many children to and from school at Lamar CISD. In addition to being a school bus driver, she also worked with Walmart in Rosenberg for 15 years. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and was an avid crocheter. She also enjoyed crafting and making afghans, bows and jewelry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael Ybanez and Josepha Reyna; her grandparents, Manuel and Manuela Barrera; her husband, Sotero Corralez; a brother, Danny Reyna; and two grandsons, Nicholas Corralez and Vincent Corralez.
Left to cherish Juanita's memory are her loving son, Ramiro Corralez of Houston; granddaughter, Naomi Corralez of Houston; grandsons, Ryan Corralez and Ramiro Corralez from Houston; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, September 16, at St. George Catholic Church in George West with a Rosary to be recited at 11 o’clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. with Father Romeo Salinas officiating.
Burial will be follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Flores, Austin Flores, Tony Silva, Robert Silva, Eduardo Lino and Melvin Ortiz.
