Joyce Bailey

Joyce Marie Bailey, 90, of George West, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 surrounded by her dearest loved ones.

Mrs. Bailey was born April 25, 1932 in Logan, West Virginia to Mona and Archie Ferrell and married Charles Bailey on December 23, 1953. She was a homemaker, loving wife, and a beloved grandma to many and all. She never met a stranger and fed everyone around, loved to play Skip-Bo and attend church service with her grandchildren and husband. One of her best pastimes was singing gospel hymns with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mona and Archie Ferrell; and her husband, Charles Bailey.

Survivors include her grandchildren Charles (Lynn) Ferrell, Crystal Ferrell, Rex (Princess) Ferrell, and Hank Ferrell; three precious great-grandchildren, Kylie Ferrell, Tay Arredondo and Tiana Ferrell; two brothers, Jr. Ferrell and Mike Ferrell; and one sister, Dreama Shultz.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at the George West Cemetery with Pastor Pat Traxler officiating. Mrs. Bailey will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Charles Bailey.

After the service, family and friends are invited to bring her favorite dish and gather at 2165 Highway 59 South in George West to celebrate her life.
