Joy Anne Clune, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in George West, Texas, on May 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Joy will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who brought warmth and love to the lives of all who knew her.
Joy was born August 18, 1943, in Washington, D.C. to Vern Louise (Lynch) Loveless and Lucien Denny Loveless. She was united in marriage to Richard Clune on August 28, 1965. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left behind to cherish precious memories include her loving husband of almost 60 years, Richard Clune of George West; a daughter, Julie (John) Blevins; a son, Greg Clune; grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Guerrero, Jamie Vivanco, Selby (Carlos) Castillejos, Koury Blevins (Jesse Carbajal) and Tristen Blevins; and great-grandchildren, Camaaron Guerrero, Kenzie Guerrero, Griffin Guerrero, Matthew Blevins, Hunter Vivanco, Gabriel Moreno and Alice Moreno.
A memorial service was held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West with Pastor Pat Traxler officiating.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home in Brentwood, Maryland with burial to follow at 1 o’clock in the Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Clune, John Blevins, Tristen Blevins, Cody Neidecker and Jesse Carbajal.
