Jose Gamez

Jose M. Gamez, 65, of George West, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015. Mr. Gamez was born April 23, 1949, in Live Oak County to Juan and Beatrice (Moya) Gamez. He was a retired laborer for the oil and gas industry. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Delia Gamez. Survivors include a son, Ruben Gamez of George West; two brothers, Juan (Maria) Gamez Jr. of Carrollton and Alfredo (Barbara) Gamez of Kyle; and two sisters, Anita (Braulio) Carvajal of George West and Elma (Mike) Hamton of Rising Star. Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 26, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel in George West. A prayer service will be held there at 7 p.m. that evening. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ in George West with Max Perez officiating. Burial will follow at George West Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gamez, Jefferi Gamez, John Carvajal, David Carvajal, Alonzo Carvajal and Santos Lopez. Galloway & Sons Funeral Directors
