Jimmie Ray Bohac

Jimmie Ray Bohac, 72, passed away peacefully in his home in Skidmore, Texas, on May 25, 2025, lovingly surrounded by his family.

Jimmie was born November 20, 1952, in Pleasanton to Joseph "Joe" Franklin Bohac and Alva Alice (Qualls) Bohac. He was a proud graduate of Luling High School. Shortly after graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Kay Hart, on May 17, 1974, in Luling. Together, they built a life filled with rich memories and deep connections. He pursued a career as a peace officer, where he served with pride and dedication for over 30 years. He was a man who never met something he could not fix and was truly a jack of all trades. As a member of the First Baptist Church, Jimmie found community and fellowship, dedicating his life to serving others with kindness and compassion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for hunting and fishing which he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Alice Bohac; and a brother, Gary Bohac.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Kay (Hart) Bohac; his children, James (Naomi) Bohac, Shannon Bohac (Brandon Wint), James Cunningham and Marissa (Josh Childress), as well as his grandchildren, Kody Bohac, Maribel Bohac, Alyssa Garcia, Zackary Childress, Mackenzie Childress, Charlotte Childress, Jonathan Childress and Bethanny Wint; and great-granddaughters, Everleigh Espinoza and Aaliyah Espinoza.
