Jerlene Epperly

Jerlene (Buxkamper) Epperly, 84, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Corrigan, Texas.

Jerlene was born April 27, 1940, in Three Rivers, Texas, to Lawrence Emil Buxkamper, Sr. and Janie Bell (Geffert) Buxkamper. She was a proud high school graduate who dedicated many years to her career as a secretary in the electronics industry. She enjoyed outdoor activities including roller blading and snow skiing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Janie and Lawrence Buxkamper, Sr.; and two grandsons, Christopher Stephens and Jason Kennedy.

As a devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Jerlene leaves behind two cherished daughters, Laurie Stephens and Kristin (Tom) Kennedy; four precious grandchildren, Eric (Jeanie) Emerson, Jamie Stephens, Courtney Stephens and Zachary Kennedy; her beloved brother, Larry (Tammy) Buxkamper; as well as numerous cousins who will remember her fondly.

A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, at St. George Catholic Cemetery in George West with Father Romeo Salinas officiating.
