Isabel Berthold

Isabel Lorene Berthold, 88, of Berclair, Texas, passed away on March 3, 2018. Mrs. Berthold was born on June 16, 1929, in Wharton County, Texas, to Walter and Anna C. (Lykke) Nielsen. She married Elton Julius Berthold in Goliad, Texas in 1949. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. She was a retired housewife and a farmer's wife helping her husband farm for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Elton (Kay) Berthold of Portland, Texas and Troy Lee (Jamie) Berthold of Berclair, Texas; daughter, Laurl Leigh Jones of Beeville, Texas; grandchildren, Tara Cliburn, Courtni Snyder, Ryan Berthold, Allen Berthold, Travis Berthold, Amy Berthold, Chad Jones and Ty Jones; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and her sister, Ella Halamicek of El Campo, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Gary Conklin officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Luke Snyder, Ryan Berthold, Allen Berthold, Chad Jones, Ty Jones and Robert Handy.
