Ila Hines

Ila Mae (Walton) Hines, a resident of George West since 1922, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019. She was 99.

Ila Mae was born in Snyder, Texas, Scurry County on October 26, 1919 to William D. and Virda Lee (Massey) Walton. She married Euel Hines in George West on November 7, 1942, was a housewife and faithful member of First United Methodist Church in George West.

Ila Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Euel Hines; and grandson, Steven Leverett.

She is survived by a son, James A. (Stephanie) Hines of George West; a daughter, Virginia (Bubba) Stewart of Three Rivers; six grandchildren, Jamie (Brandy) Hines, Chad Hines, Trey Hines, Tricia (Steve) Bellows, Peggy (Tommy) House and Lisa (Robert) Ruiz; seven great-grandchildren, Parker Hines, Bradley (Kelby) Bellows, Caroline Bellows, Kacie (Rocky) Weber, Colton House, Maddox Ruiz and Mason Ruiz; and a great-great-granddaughter, Leighton Weber.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2019, at the George West Cemetery with Rev. Pat Traxler officiating.
