Hilton Hughes

Hilton Hughes, 56, a lifelong resident of Beeville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 26, 2018.
Hilton was born January 15, 1962, in Beeville to Dan A. and Juanita Jo (Wentz) Hughes. He married Jacqueline Gonzalez in Beeville on June 6, 1987. He was an investor, and he was a member of the St. Philip's Episcopal School Board.
Mr. Hughes' generosity of spirit was large as he helped family and friends as well as numerous charitable organizations.
Hilton was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Hughes of Beeville; three sons, William Hughes of Dallas, Philip Hughes of San Antonio and Nicholas Hughes of College Station; a sister, Keleigh (Stuart) Sasser of Corpus Christi; a brother, Dan Allen (Peggy) Hughes of San Antonio; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at the chapel with Rev. Thomas L. Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Beeville.
Pallbearers will be his sons, William, Philip and Nicholas Hughes and Reggie Elder, Nick Arredondo and Freddy Schauer.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal School.
