Helen Watson

Helen Krause Watson, 91, of Skidmore, died on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. She was born on Nov. 12, 1918, in Eddy to Cleo and Eula Mae Ison Honnoll. She married Joseph Welborn Watson on March 11, 1977, in Sinton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Skidmore United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting, gardening and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harvey E. Krause; and three brothers, Vernon Honnoll, R.E. (Earl) Honnoll and Orvel Honnoll. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Welborn "Chubby" Watson of Skidmore; two sons, Larry Dean (Judy) Krause of Billings, Mont., and Allen E. (Peggy) Krause of Houston; one sister, Mae (Clyde) Ashley of Waco; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons chapel in Beeville. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jason Calvert officiating. Burial will follow at Sinton Cemetery in Sinton.
