Helen Allen

Helen Madeline Buttery Allen, 88, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010. Mrs. Allen was born April 30, 1922, in Crossville, Ill. to Alvin and Hallie Poole Buttery. She married Harold L. Allen on Aug. 18, 1953, in Kingsville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frieda Ippolito. Survivors include her husband, Harold Allen Sr. of Victoria; three daughters, Ann (Les) Henry of Beeville, Kathy Branham of Victoria and Judy Steen of Temple; three sons, Danny (Diana) Wise of Refugio, Mike (Susie) Wise of Mathis and Tex Allen of Alford; a sister, Maxine Levingston of Grayville, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Powers officiating.
