Guadalupe Cuevas

Guadalupe (Cuevas) Cuevas, 75, of George West, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.
Mrs. Cuevas was born Nov. 6, 1941, to Filimon and Catarina (Munoz) Cuevas in Live Oak County. She married Victor Cuevas in George West, was a provider/caregiver and a Catholic. She enjoyed dancing and planting roses.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Hector Cuevas; daughter, Yolanda Cuevas; one sister; and four brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Perez (Cruz Cruz) of George West, Amy Cuevas Lopez (Rolando) of Edinburg and Eva Lane of Georgetown; one son, Nestor Cuevas of George West; a daughter-in-law, Leticia Cuevas of Donna; two sisters, Leonor Valverde of Mathis and Irene Morin of George West; and grandchildren, Jessica Denise Lane, James Perez, Malori Lopez, Jack Lane, Hector Cuevas Jr., Nestor Cuevas and Kaycee Cuevas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated that morning at 10 o'clock at St. George Catholic Church with Father George Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Perez, Jack K. Lane, Victor Ybanez, Angel Morin Jr., Marcos Cuellar and Gabriel Villarreal.
