Georgie Sliva

Georgie Mae Sliva, 79, of San Antonio, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014. Mrs. Sliva was born July 19, 1934, in Yorktown to Frank and Annie (Baer) Mareth. She married Johnny Jerry Sliva on Dec. 29, 1952, and was a Lutheran. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 17, 1994; a sister, Frances; and a brother, Milton. Survivors include two sons, David Wayne Sliva (Maureen) of San Antonio and Charles Terry Sliva (Tracey) of Devine; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Clarence Mareth. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore with Rev. Don Taylor officiating.
