George Phillips

George R. "Bunky" Phillips George Phillips was born August 14, 1926 to Will & Christine Phillips in Alice, TX. He served in the 1st Engineers, A Troop 8th Engineers, attached to the 1st Brigade of the 1st Calvary in WWII where he was stationed in Japan. He loved horses and was a competent horseman. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandfather, George A. Clegg. He is survived by his wife Mildred Liesman Phillips. Two daughters: Chris (M.P.) Wright & Barbara Mann. Two grandsons: Cinco (Chris) Wright & Joshua (Jennifer) Mann. Three granddaughters: Mendy (Chris) Clark, Cassandra (Chris) Driscoll & Christine (Eric) Otter. Five great-grandsons: Will Wright, Brian Driscoll, Jayce Kurz, Colsen Clark & Benjamin Mann. Three great-granddaughters: Madison Clark, Calleigh Mann & Ava Clark. He was a proud braggart of his grandchildren. Services will be held at Galloway Funeral Home in Beeville, TX on Sunday, January 25, 2015 @ 2pm.
