Frances Staples

Frances Oree Fox Staples, 83, of Seguin, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. Mrs. Staples was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Pettus to Linnie Oree (Graham) and John Henry Fox Sr. She married Perry F. Staples in Tulsita on Sept. 5, 1950, and was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Henry Fox Jr.; grandson, Ryan; and a great-grandson. Survivors include her husband, Perry F. Staples of Seguin; three children, Susan (Raymond) Brewer of Seguin, Robert (Mechelle) Staples and Richard (Debra) Staples, both of Cleveland; a sister, Patti Webb of Tulsita; eight grandchildren, Kristy Murphy, Donnie Alsobrooks, Mindy Maldonado, Seth Staples, Drew Staples, Shealeen Staples, Christine Staples and Jessica Staples; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives. A graveside service was held Saturday, March 1, at 4 p.m. in the San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna with Jesse Abovt officiating.
