Flumencia Leal

Flumencia "Mencha" Leal, 83, of George West, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Mrs. Leal was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Poth, Texas, to Aniseto and San Juanita (Rodriguez) Leal. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death her parents; brother, Juan Leal, Sr.; and step-mother, Genebeba Zapata Leal.

Survivors include a son, Enrique (Gloria) Cabrera, Jr.; two grandsons, Michael and Jonathan Cabrera all of Austin; six brothers, Tomas (Rachel) Leal, Domingo (Lude) Leal and Liborio (Debbie) Leal all of Austin, Aniseto (Lena) Leal, Jr., and Ray (Isabel) Leal both of Bastrop and Jose Eloy Leal of Dallas; and four sisters, Irene Juarez and Anita Leal Reyes both of Bastrop and Sylvia (Leroy) Morrison and Alicia (Michael) Hunt both of La Grange.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on June 15, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West with a rosary recited there that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at George West Cemetery.
