Evelyn (Reagan) Seals, 95, passed away peacefully in Beeville, Texas, lovingly surrounded by her four sons on February 1, 2026.
Born March 4, 1930, in Beeville, to Rocky Reagan, Sr. and Eula Louise (Cleveland) Reagan, Evelyn lived a full and vibrant life marked by devotion to family, education, and community. She was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and graduated with a degree in Education from Southern Methodist University, and a master’s degree from A&I Kingsville. She taught elementary aged migrant children and English as a second language for three decades in Beeville schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eula and Rocky Reagan, Sr.; her husband, Jack Seals Sr.; and her siblings, Flournoy Reagan, Bob Reagan, Rocky Reagan, Jr., Lucy Moore, Mary Louise Cheatham, and Marjorie (Reagan) Bledsoe.
Evelyn’s greatest joy came from her family. She married Jack Seals Sr. in 1965 with a ready-made family of four preteen boys: Jack Reece Seals Jr., Hershall LaForge Seals, Michael David Seals, and Patrick Lowell Seals. She lovingly dedicated the entirety of her lifetime to raising the boys and providing unconditional love and devotion as if they were her own birth-children. Eventually the boys were adopted at the courthouse in Beeville. She is survived by her sons and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 2 p.m. at the Oakville Cemetery in Oakville, Texas with Pastor Lee Ann Dye-Barker officiating. A brief reception will follow at the Oakville Community Center.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt appreciation to caregivers Melissa Garcia and Belinda Munoz, and to Hacienda Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beeville for their loving care and kindness during the last years of Evelyn’s precious life.
