Eugene Mcclendon

Eugene A. McClendon, 92, of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018.
Eugene was born March 28, 1926 in Hobson, Texas, to John A. McClendon and Annie (Cowie) McClendon. He married Nita Sue Coker on March 28, 1951. He was a lifelong rancher and member of First Baptist Church of Oakville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Nita Sue McClendon, who passed away on July 16, 2018; a brother, John A. McClendon; and a sister, Beth Richardson.
He is survived by his two sons, Kent McClendon and Cole (Vickie) McClendon, both of Three Rivers; five grandchildren, Tyrel McClendon, Chasity Brown, Kirby Ham, Quirt McClendon and Heather Eagle; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ross McClendon of Three Rivers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Oakville Cemetery in Oakville, Texas with Rev. Tommy Stogner officiating.
Pallbearers will be George DuBose, Carey Tullis, Larry Talley, Jerry Richardson, John Richardson and Mike Yount.
