Esteban Cuevas Jr.

Esteban “Steve” Cuevas Jr., 55, of George West, died Saturday, March 22, 2014.

Mr. Cuevas was born to Esteban M. and Olivia Lane Cuevas on July 24, 1958, in Beeville. He was a construction worker and enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and remodeling. He was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Robert Cuevas.

Survivors include his father, Esteban Cuevas Sr. of George West; a son, Stevie Howell Cuevas of Kerrville; a brother, Ernest Ray Cuevas of Angleton; nine sisters, Tina (James) Gallagher of George West, Nancy Cuevas and Maria Cuevas, both of Round Rock, Mary (Arturo) Medina of El Campo, Sylvia (Mario) Garcia of Houston, Adela (Jesus) Cruz of Beeville, Esmeralda Cuevas of Corpus Christi, Elda Cuevas of Minnesota and Michelle (Manuel) Garcia of Ingleside; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel in George West.

The funeral service will be conducted there that evening at 5 o’clock with Pastor Guillermo Salinas officiating.
