Erwin Massengale

Erwin Massengale, 71, passed away on September 29, 2017. He was born on May 25, 1946, to Mack Copeland and Evelyn (Lewis) Massengale in Beeville, Texas. He was married to the love of his life, Lana (Nance) Massengale and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a telephone lineman retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone/AT&T after 42 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laurie Massengale; and brothers, Mack Massengale Jr., John Massengale and Robert Massengale.
He is survived by his wife, Lana Massengale of Beeville; daughters, Lee Ann (Skeeter) Johnson of Lovelady, Texas and Katy (Jason) McGriff of Beeville; and his grandchildren, Beau Morgan Johnson, Blake Johnson, Taylor McGriff and Madison McGriff.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Skeeter Johnson, Blake Johnson, Tim Rider, Jason McGriff, Thad Nance, Lance Tindol and Scott Massengale. Honorary pallbearers will be Thad Massengale, Bubba Vanderstucken and Session Members of First Presbyterian Church of Beeville.
