Enrique Moreno

Enrique "Henry" Moreno, 87, of Beeville, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. He was born July 23, 1922, in Beeville to Pablo Moreno and Felipa Rendon. He married Beatrice Zavala Moreno on July 23, 1939. He served in the United States Army, was a contract painter and a member of the American Legion and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mr. Moreno was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beatrice Z. Moreno; and a granddaughter, Veronica Garcia Ramsden. Survivors include his children, Henry (Aracely) Moreno of Pensacola, Fla., Felipita (Jerry) Frazier of San Diego, Calif., Lupita (Jesse) Rodriguez of Grand Prairie, Lillie (Luvin) Garcia of Houston and Ernest (Virgie) Moreno and Edward (Rosemarie) Moreno of Beeville; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral chapel where a rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial of ashes will take place Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Garcia, Fred Garcia, Michael Rodriguez, Brandon Moreno, Gabriel Moreno and Gabriel Moreno Jr.
