Emelda Stevens

Emelda Stevens, 87, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Beeville, died Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Mrs. Stevens was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Marrero, Louisiana, to Gertrude Magdalen (Saddler) and Andrew Louis Fisher. She married Virgil B. Stevens in Lake Hurst, New Jersey. She was a U.S. Navy veteran and was retired from the civil service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph D. Stevens of Nampa, Idaho, and Virgil B. Stevens Jr. of Ocala, Florida; and a granddaughter, Kriste L. Stevens.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 13, at 9 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
