Dorothy Huddleston

Dorothy Ann (Shiller) Huddleston, 69, died Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Live Oak Nursing Home in George West following a long battle with dementia and cancer. Mrs. Huddleston was born Nov. 22, 1947, to Charles “Charlie” John and Dorothy Nell Shiller in Victoria. She loved bowling, dancing, music, reading, traveling, working crossword puzzles and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Taylor “Hud” J. Huddleston of Beeville; a daughter, Dawn Lee Huddleston of Austin; granddaughter, Lauren Taylor Warning; sister, Linda Nix of Victoria; two brothers, Charles (Cindy) Shiller of New Braunfels and Thomas (Rosemary) Shiller of Taft; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends. A memorial luncheon will be held at noon in Victoria at the Homewood Suites, 6705 Zac Lentz Parkway, on Saturday, May 27. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to fight against Alzheimer’s or to the charity of one’s choice.
