Doris M. Miller

Doris M. Miller, born on April 1, 1927, in Timpson, Texas, departed this world on August 1, 2025, at the age of 98. A resident of Kerrville, Texas, Doris was a beloved figure within her family and community and was a former resident of Three Rivers, Texas.

Doris was a dedicated professional, having established herself as a boutique owner and a real estate broker. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Three Rivers and especially enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, garden club and her family within the First Baptist Church.

She graduated from Pasadena High School and married her beloved husband, Wayne Miller, on April 1, 1945. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy until his passing. Doris’ life was enriched by her family, including her two daughters, Jean (Mel) Hinds of Kerrville and Debbie (Leroy) Kaatz of Three Rivers. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Kelly (Presley) Hartman and David (Brooke) Kaatz, and as a great-grandmother to Samantha (Jason) Zamora, Sharissa (Chris) Weber and Dillon Guajardo. She was also a proud great-great-grandmother to Braden and Blakely Zamora, Payton and Grayson Weber and Andor Guajardo.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Smith and Lou (Sapp) Smith; her husband, Wayne Miller; her grandson, Carl Wayne Rathke; and brothers, Bob and Bo Smith.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers with the funeral service at 11 o’clock. Pastor Jack Williams will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery where Doris will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Wayne.
