Doris Cathrine Jones

Doris Cathrine (Dinhobl) Jones, 87, of Beeville, Texas passed away Friday, December 8, 2023.

Doris was born October 17, 1936 to Fred Dinhobl and Martha (Frerich) Dinhobl in Weimer, Texas. She married Leonard Harold Jones on August 15, 1953, in Beeville where they were valued members of the Church of Christ. Doris spent her life in service to God, her husband, children, and grandchildren. She spent countless hours playing sports with her kids and grandkids. Doris was well loved and active with her friends. Some of her hobbies included playing dominoes, bowling, and traveling.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Martha Dinhobl; her husband, Leonard Jones in 2017; a sister, Kitty Webster; and grandson, Cody Randal Jones.

Left behind to cherish fond memories include a son, Randy Jones of Beeville; daughter, Debbie (David) Logan of Austin; two brothers, George Dinhobl of Hitchcock and Robert Dinhobl of Texas City; five grandchildren, Kirk (Taylor) Logan of Austin, Claire (Pete) Logan-Mais of Los Angeles, Meredith (Matthew) Collier of Beeville, Audrey (Eric) Soza of Beeville and Brady (Cierra) Jones of Houston; and 13 great-grandchildren, Tatum Soza, Carter Soza, Cameryn Soza, Josiah Collier, Johnson Collier, Olivia Collier, Elizabeth Collier, Cody Jones, Ford Logan, Nash Logan, Lillian Logan Mais, Veronique Mais and Varrah Mais.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home with Michael Todd officiating.
