Diann Henning

Diann C. (Thiede) Henning, a lifelong resident of Pettus, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019. She was 63.

Diann was born July 16, 1955, in Kenedy, Texas, to Lois (Koehn) and Bill D. Thiede. She graduated from Pettus High School in 1973 and served as administrative assistant at South Texas Children's Home for 25 years. She was a faithful member of Pettus United Methodist Church. Diann's passion in life was her love of family and children. She was kind and loving and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill D. Thiede; a brother, Dean Thiede; and a sister, Lynn Manlove.

She is survived by her mother, Lois Thiede of Tuleta, Texas; two daughters, Kristina (Ernesto) Gonzales of Pettus and Elizabeth (Benji Gibbs) Henning of Anna, Texas; two sisters, Beverly (Fidencio) Montez and Amy Thiede, both of Tuleta; two nieces, Chelle (Nate) Caviness of Bastrop and Amanda Montez of Tuleta; and two nephews, Ricky Manlove of Bastrop and Eric (Krystal) Montez of Beeville.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Pettus United Methodist Church with Pastor Kristie A. Crisp officiating.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caring staff at Woodridge Nursing Home and Exclusive Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Texas Children's Home and Pettus United Methodist Church.
