Clarence Tim Nelson

Clarence Tim Nelson, 85, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, surrounded by his family at home in Mathis, Texas.

Clarence was born on February 14, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clarence Anthony Nelson and Charlotte Elizabeth (Downs) Nelson. He was a rancher for many years in Berclair, Texas and was the former owner and operator of Butedale, British Colombia, Canada. He was a graduate of Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Charlotte Nelson; an infant son, Clarence Tim Downs Nelson Jr.; and his sister, Charlotte Tamara Nelson.

He is survived by his wife, Tani Nelson; son, Clarence (Mitzu) Nelson and daughter, Nicole (Hunya) Nelson, both of Mathis, son, Christopher Tim Boston (Trish) of Houlton, Wisconsin, and daughter, Christy Marie Hanson (Chris) of Vancouver, British Columbia; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements will be handled by Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas and no formal service is planned at this time.
