Charles Juranek

Charles John Juranek, 80, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020.

Charles was born October 22, 1940 in Driscoll, Texas to John Juranek Jr. and Lillie (Kalisek) Juranek. He married Bobbie Marshall on August 5, 1966 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Corpus Christi. He retired from the City of Corpus Christi Health Department as a health inspector and was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and John Juranek Jr.; a brother, James Juranek; and a sister, Shirley Tarble.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Bobbie (Marshall) Juranek; his children, Ronald Juranek, Jennifer Levee and Bobby Juranek; sisters,  Georgia Matula and Geraldine Cortino;­ his grandchildren, Jordan Cassels, Stephany Winters, Jessica Scott, Jake Juranek, Lauren Levee, Lilly Juranek and Luke Levee; one great-grandson; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, December 21, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville. A Rosary will be recited at 11 o’clock that morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
